Release Notes for Fitnesse Plugin 1.0.0

This is the first release of an Eclipse Plugin that wraps the existing Fitnesse team testing tooling, which combines Wiki functionality with the Framework for Integrated Test. We created this plugin, because we really like the functionality that FitNesse delivered, but did not want to have to leave the comfort of the Eclipse environment to interact with the Wiki. An additional benefit of incorporating FitNesse into Eclipse is that, as developers, we can build project specific FitNesse Wikis under version control - that is, we can create a folder under the project and manage the Wiki content with CVS.

Below are a series of release notes that address some known limitations of the current implementation.:

  1. Under the existing Eclipse browser, some text fields appear to be read-only, which impairs the functionality of FitNesse. We have filed PR #### with Eclipse. For instance, if you create a new FitNesse instance locally, when you go to edit the FrontPage, you will find that the field is uneditable.
  2. The internal browser loses it's 'part' and the browser window cannot be closed from the toolbar button. If you start the Local Fitnesse instance, start the Remote Fitnesse instance, close the Remote Fitnesse instance, then close the Local Fitnesse instance, the Local Fitnesse instance browser window will remain up. If you alter the sequence, you'll still be left with the second browser window open.
